~ How it started ~
In 2014 I started a jeweler apprenticeship
in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire at
The Kalled Gallery under Jennifer Kalled and Aubri Keating.
For the last 7 years I have continued working for Aubri Keating, assisting in growing her jewelry business.
~ Why I create in this way ~
This avenue of creativity felt natural when I began my apprenticeship.
As a child I loved beading. Often making necklaces and earrings for family members using inexpensive wire and plastic beads..later evolving into learning more complicated designs with seed beads and working at a local bead shop.

There are so many aspects to jewelry
making that relate to how I feel about life.
Creating a piece of jewelry can be tedious,
messy, and challenging, as it is all about finding the balance.
It is also beautiful, colorful, exciting when things come together,
and feels so good when you are in flow.
I have always loved the outdoors and continue to find peace and alignment being out in nature.
Zooming in with a camera and seeing the detail of water droplets on a leaf or lichen on a tree is fascinating to me. This lines up with the part of me that enjoys the discovery of self. My constant desire to reflect and further understand how I operate.
~
I aspire to always live my life from the place of authenticity. Open Heart Designs is created out of that desire. Growing something through me, that not only generates JOY, but also enables my creativity to flow.
